Peningkatan Pembelajaran Bernyanyi

Desyandri (2011) :         The Usage of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach to improve the process and learning outcome of Singing to the Student Class III Elementary School YPKK of Padang State University


A singing represents the part of musical art that should be mastered by elementary student. Based on the research result showed  that the teacher have been still using the conventional learning approach, the problem have effect on the ability of student’s singing class III on Elementary School YPKK of UNP was still lower. It was caused by teacher have not usage the learning approach as according to the life and experience of observed students. The used of contextual teaching and learning approach (CTL) represent on of teaching approach is predictable can handle the weakness of teacher in teaching.

The method of this research used a qualitative method by research design action research; it is done by collaboration between researcher and teacher. This research was done into two cycles where each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The resource of data in this research is teacher and student directly involved in teaching, while the research instrument was researcher self as key instrument. The collection of data was observation field noted and interview, the analysis data was executed by using qualitative analysis model.

The result of this research showed that contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach have been used in learning teaching to elementary student can improve the process and singing study result of them in the class III of Elementary School YPKK UNP. The improvement have been showed from the execution process of learning teaching which consist of (1) early activity stage, 2) core task and final activity stage of teaching. To the stage of teaching result, the teacher executed the evaluation process and study’s achievement. The improvement of teaching process can be seen from the result of study’s achievement in the first cycle with score 68,3 and the improvement score to second cycle was about 79,3.

Desyandri. Lahir di Suliki, Kab. 50 Kota Propinsi Sumatera Barat pada tanggal 29 Desember 1972. Dosen Tetap di Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) FIP Universitas Negeri Padang sejak tahun 2006. Memperoleh gelar Ahli Madya (Amd) pada Jurusan Pendidikan Sendratasik FPBS IKIP Padang tahun 1996, Sarjana Pendidikan (S.Pd) pada Jurusan Pendidikan Sendratasik FPBS IKIP Padang tahun 1998. Memperoleh gelar Magister Pendidikan (M.Pd) tahun 2011 Program Studi Pendidikan Dasar Pascasarjana UNP.
